You ask Hoofingold if he knows Crystal Charm personally.

Hoofingold: "Of course! Everypony knows everypony in this town. And I look forward to knowing more about you, too! Come in, come in!"

After leaving your saddlebags at the door, you follow Hoofingold to the living room, where he invites you to sit on the sofa. The stallion then takes a seat in a chair across from you.

You drop Trailblazer's Saddlebags.

Hoofingold: "Before I go talking about other ponies, I'm curious to know more about our little newcomer. Where do you hail from, filly?"

You recount that you were raised at an orphanage in the small northern village of Foalshire, and that a few years ago, you signed a contract with the Equestrian Exploration Society to mark path routes in the region. After just recently completing it, you used the bits you earned to buy yourself a home here in Hoofington.

Hoofingold: "Is that so! Why settle here and not in Foalshire?"

You tell Hoofingold that your travels brought you here, and you feel that this is where you belong.

Hoofingold: "Hmm, interesting. Well, I can assure you that you've made a great choice; the town of Hoofington will surely become your new home and family in no time!"

You say that you're glad, and ask him about Crystal Charm.

Hoofingold: "Ah, yes, Crystal Charm. That one is quite the mystery, you see. Shopkeeping all day and resupplying all night! Ho ho! I've yet to figure out when she finds the time to sleep!"

You ask about the mention of her looking for an adventurer.

Hoofingold: "That's what I've heard. She's quite charming, isn't she? And you wouldn't be the only one to think so. But ponies who've tried courting her didn't have the courage to follow her into the Everfree Forest at night.

My daughter Sapphire Kite isn't too fond of her little escapades, but I've never once seen her seriously injured. And I've been here since long before she was born!"
