[Gaming] You roll a 3 (required 10). Failure.

Recalling that Moonflower wanted to visit the Games & Prizes booths, and that Apple Basket mentioned the Souvenir Shops earlier, you suggest heading to the northernmost road, where both of those activities are found. Your party agrees, and on the way there, you make another quick detour by your house to drop off the miniature boats.

You store Trailblazer & Moonflower's Miniature Boat.

You take this opportunity to give yourself the once-over in the bedroom mirror. While satisfied with the roguish charmer in its reflection, you consider that your coltish traits will take some getting used to — just like in Midgard.

But this time, you are committed! You will learn and grow, and become the very best of best friends! And if not, well, you can at the very least rest assured that your ring is in safe hooves, should you ever have need of it again.

You pay 5 Gold Bits.

You spend the last hour of the festival playing games of chance and skill alongside your friends. Between bouts of cheer and laughter, the air is filled with a cacophony of bouncing discs and balls, clanking horseshoes, and the occasional ring of a high striker's bell.

You find that most of the prizes seem to be themed after the festival's own activities: choices of candy snacks, balloons, glass marbles, scarves and socks, wooden toy boats, enchanted jewellery, and farm animal plush toys of various sizes.

That said, you don't win at nearly enough games to get any of the bigger prizes, far too distracted by nearby loud noises, or the cold breeze, or a shooting star, or your companions being cute, or any other playful excuse you can come up with at the time.

Then, while you bury your muzzle in some well-earned cotton candy, Apple Basket purchases a nice pair of saddlebags from a nearby shop — along with a little souvenir for his cousin back home. As for Moonflower, she makes most of the games look easy, and happily wins herself a decent-sized piglet plush toy.

As the clock nears midnight, you begin to feel tired out from all the excitement. You and your friends decide on a simple yet memorable final activity: a wishing booth, located at the far end of the road.

Moonflower: "Hey, how's it work?"

Apple Basket: "It's an old Earth Pony tradition what takes place on the first day of each season. You write your wish on one of these here papers. Then, you roll the paper up, and stick it in a candle like a wick.

When the candles're lit, the wishes inside of 'em fly up and into the stars above. They say if you're lucky and your wish gets caught by a shootin' star, then it becomes true."

Moonflower: "Oooh! Does that really happen?"

Apple Basket: "Couldn't tell ya, but there's lots of folk tales about some real crazy wishes comin' true, like becomin' super strong, sproutin' wings, or meetin' one's true love and whatnot."

Moonflower: "Whoa! Then I better come up with the best wish ever, jus' in case!"

You nod, and as you begin to think about a wish of your own, your eyes drift to a sign next to the booth. The sign reads: "One wish per pony, so choose carefully!"
