You thank Apple Basket for his gift, and mention that while you now have a boat, you have yet to find somepony who knows how to sail one. You then put a hoof around the colt's shoulders, and ask him whether he would like to embark with you on an epic journey.

Apple Basket: "Would I?! I-I mean, sure, I might be able to get this thing goin' where you need it to go, but if I'm bein' honest, I dunno if I can pull my weight the rest o' the way. You sure 'bout this?"

You and Moonflower nod, and Furia Storm offers an indifferent shrug.

Apple Basket: "Well, heh, in that case, how could I turn down an offer like that? Uh... that said, I right can't forget 'bout my responsibilities back at the farm, what with applebuck season comin' up in just a few days. Tell ya what: I'll go check in with my family real quick, then let y'all know if'n I can come along.

While I'm gone, you should double-check the supplies, just in case. I'll be back 'round high noon, and meet y'all here after lunch. And I promise I won't get lost this time!"

With that, you bid farewell to Apple Basket, and he excitedly trots off. Following his advice, you decide to take a closer look at the boat, and at the supplies onboard.

On the deck, you find the mast at the front of the boat with a tiller and a winch, and a small cabin at the back. In front of the cabin is a water pump and a lifebuoy on the left, and an anchor windlass on the right.

Inside the cabin, you find two windowside beds, a bushel of oatmeal, three kegs of water, and an icebox containing three baskets of apples, a bag of carrots, three loafs of bread, and two wheels of cheese.

Moonflower: "Eeeā€¼ This is so cool! We still got all mornin' to get ready, too. What'cha think?"
