Lets get a pouch of purify powder! We're hunting after an item that's supposed to have corrupted other ponies and things right? Sounds useful! Ask the shopkeep about it's effectiveness on evil cursed godly items.

You trade 5 Gold Bits for Pouch of Purify Powder.

You ask the shopkeeper about the effect of purify powder on a cursed item.

Shopkeeper: "Cursed? I've gotta say, I don't know much about curses, but it might be worth a try.

This powder is more commonly used for removing impurities from all sorts of things, such as refining metals, or removing stains. If a curse is anything like a tough stain, then there's a chance it could work!"

You thank the shopkeeper, then continue to browse the vending halls for a short while. Not having any spellcasters in your party, however, nothing in particular catches your attention.

Moonflower: "I got all these bits, but I dunno what to spend 'em on. Lots'a these things are super tempting, though."

You suggest coming back once you have a better idea of what you want, and decide to go look for Apple Basket in the meantime.

Moonflower: "Ooh, good plan. I still gotta try this new ring I bought. Heehee!"

As you arrive at the docks, you find the colt hauling a small barrel into the cabin of a moored sailboat. He notices you on the way out, and trots up the wooden piers and over to you.

Apple Basket: "Oh, are y'all done already? Well, I s'pose I should get right to it, then.

Y'see, after you gals fished me out of the woods last night, it got me thinkin'. Ever since I was a foal, the idea of goin' on an adventure fascinated me: seein' the world, findin' treasure, skippin' chores... sounded like a dream.

Goes without sayin', I forgot all 'bout how dangerous it can be out there. I reckon the fun part ain't all there's to adventurin'. S'hard work, too, jus' like farmin'. And f'it weren't for you savin' my hide, I dunno if'n I would'a learned my lesson."

Apple Basket sheepishly glances at his bandaged legs.

Apple Basket: "Moonflower told me 'bout your quest, and she said that you didn't have a boat, so... I'd like y'all to have mine. It ain't much to look at, but it's made outta the best applewood in the region, and s'got at least three days worth o' supplies on board.

I figured if I don't got what it takes to be an adventurer, then I wanna help those who do s'best I can!"

	Tell him that his big mistake was going on an adventure alone! We would be honored to accept his boat, but it would be even better to accept his company on our journey. He could show us how to sail and we could really get to know each-other while we're out on the water.

	Awesome as this is, and as beautiful an example of how far ponies have come sense the dark ages, we might want to get our sea legs in another way. .....did we water proof our map? or anything else?

	No one said he doesn't have what it takes! He learned what he did wrong, so once those bandages are off, he can grab an adventuring buddy or two and try again. No need to just give up on his dream! For now, though, a great big thank you hug is in order! This boat is exactly what we need! This leaves finding a captain and dealing with the whirlpools... Let's look around the port area for a certain sea dog. If she got our cake, maybe she won't just run away again.

	Well now! Some profound thanks, and perhaps a double checking to make sure Apple Basket is sure of this are in order. Three days of supplies are well and good, but I think we'll need at least a week of supplies to be safe. We probably need some basic transportation equipment and a little training on how to sail, or someone to hire as navigator/pilot who ISN'T currently injured/still a child and probably too young to be adventuring with us too. It's not time to set sail quite yet, but it's within the next day or three now!
