You bid farewell to Eleven and Novelty, and once back outside of the factory, you begin to follow the mare's directions to where Rocket Rush was last seen. You head to the southern checkpoint, and use the emergency exit there to enter the tunnel to the surface.

As you slowly but surely make your way through it, you and your friends take a look at the new bracelets you've just acquired. Now having control over an antimagic field of your own, you suppose that you could use it to revert the mishap you've experienced with the ring of alter sex a few days ago.

Moonflower: "Ooh, that's right! I got so used to boy Trailblazer, I almost forgot."

Smoke: "Wait, what is this about?"

Realizing that you've only known Smoke since after the incident, you decide to take a moment to let her know what happened to you.

Smoke: "Weird. You ponies are already hard enough to tell apart as it is. If you keep changing appearances on top of that, how am I supposed to keep track?"

You playfully tell the dragon that she is lucky you aren't a changeling. However, you agree that it might raise confusion if you were to turn back into a mare now, so you decide to remain like this until you leave Midgard.

When you finally reach the end of the dimly lit tunnel, your eyes take some time to adjust to the afternoon sun outside. A light breeze passes through the bright red pines, and brushes through your mane. You take a deep breath of sweet, fresh air, then continue onward to the southern shore.

As you approach your destination, the distant squawking of seagulls joins the sounds of crashing waves. You soon emerge from the forest to find your sailboat on the gravel beach where you last left it, next to which a familiar unicorn plays with circling birds.

Rocket Rush: "Howza! Oh, Blazer! Good to see you still in one piece. Check out these little guys, they're like flying chickens!"

Apple Basket: "Howdy! I reckon this is the first time you're seeing seagulls around these parts?"

Rocket Rush: "Seagulls, huh? You mean you have them in Equestria too? That's wild! The way they fly around gives me an idea for a new aircraft.

Oh yeah! I just finished installing some new upgrades to your craft. Didn't have much time to work on it before, and I'm not the kind of pony who leaves things halfway done. Bet you can relate!"

You ask Rocket Rush about the new upgrades.

Rocket Rush: "First off, I've added a regenerative sailing module to recharge the battery when you travel using wind power. I figured you probably don't have compatible charging stations in Equestria, and... judging from the looks on your faces, I'm guessing I was right!

While I was at it, I went ahead and added a radiator to the cabin. It'll keep you warm through the coldest of nights, but it's powered by the same battery as the propulsor, so try saving the last quarter of the energy just in case. Did you get all that?"

You thank the unicorn for improving your sailboat, and ask if she can teach Apple Basket how to operate all of these new additions.

Rocket Rush: "No problem! Give us five minutes, tops."

You nod, and while the pair walks over to the boat, a purple nuzzle on your cheek catches your attention.

Moonflower: "How ya feelin'?"

You offer Moonflower a reassuring smile, and let her know that you are doing well. Fortunately, the slight discomfort in your side does not seem to have been aggravated by merely walking.

With that in mind, and a few minutes to spare, you begin to think about what to do next.
