Keep going for a few mor eminutes. If you still haven't found a light source by then, turn around and come back later with better gear or even a certain unicorn. You're not equipped for cave exploration in absolute darkness.
You continue to follow the tunnel until it brings you to what you assume to be an opening to a larger room. You are unable to sense any gemstones ahead.
After reconsideration, you head back into the tunnel you came from, and soon return to the water-lit cavern.
