[Cooking] You roll an 18 (required 10). Success!

You nod, and thank Moonflower for letting you know. With little time left, you decide to try asking the soul whether or not it would be able to identify twin souls.

The response takes some time to manifest. For an instant, you feel the slightest confusion, followed by silence. Deliberate silence. Then, the silence begins to fade away, along with the twilit sky, and you are pulled back into the carefree realm of your own dreams...

A new day dawns upon the homely town of Hoofington. Golden sunrays brighten the horizon, and birds begin to sing their morning songs. You wake up after a good night's sleep, seemingly having just had a rousing dream you can't quite recall.

You pull your bat pony friend closer to hug her awake just the way she likes it, but something feels... different. You crack an eye open, and through a groggy haze, you meet a pair of very amused teal eyes.

You are immediately jolted awake. However, Honourshine retaliates with a tight, playful hug of her own, your hardship firmly squeezed between the two of you.

Honourshine: "Good morning, big brother."

You breathe out a sigh of regret, and greet her in turn while she has a good chuckle at your expense. The clock on the wall indicates five o'clock. Time to get rolling...?

After stretching the remnants of sleep out of your body, you slide out of bed, and welcome the cool morning air for once. As you head downstairs together, you ask your foalhood friend if she slept well.

Honourshine: "Better than expected."

You grin, and ask her if she would share a bed with you again.

Honourshine: "I'm not saying no... as long as I'm not taking somepony else's place."

You beam at that. Then, while she follows her morning routine to the wet room, you make your way to the kitchen to prepare some breakfast. Using most of the ingredients you have left, you cook two fluffy eggy bread sandwiches to crunchy perfection, and fill two tall glasses of refreshing cold water.

Soon after the table is set, Honourshine joins you in the living room, and you sit down to eat. Reminded of twins and souls, you decide to let her know about the dream that Moonflower shared with you.

Honourshine: "You shared a dream? Well, that explains it."

You stammer that it's not like that, that you had a different dream afterward! But it is apparent by her smile that she already figured as much.

Honourshine: "I'm just messing with you. Thank you for making breakfast, by the way. So, what was it about?"

You explain how the dream is always there but seemingly does not belong to anypony. You tell her of the barrier within only you are able to cross, and of the frozen memory that lies beyond. You recount your meeting with what you believe to be the soul of Empyrius, and summarize what you were able to learn so far.

Honourshine: "Hm. And now you need a spell — an alicorn spell — to understand what this soul is trying to tell you."

You nod, and admit that it might be difficult to believe. After all, it may as well be nothing more than a dream.

Honourshine: "I've had revelations come to me in a dream before, so you might still be able to learn something out of it. As for where you could find that kind of spell, well... I suppose we could start with the Kirinese monks."

You agree, and finish the last of your meal. Before long, breakfast is over with, and with your bellies full, you start getting ready for the days ahead. First, you pack the supplies Moonflower made for your party, splitting them between you and Honourshine.

You get 4 Antidotes, 2 Draughts of Invisibility, 4 Elixirs of Night Vision, 2 Eye Drops, 4 Health Potions, 3 Magic Potions, 2 Remedies, 2 Tinctures of Overstrength, 2 Tonics of Adhesion, and 4 Tonics of Bioluminescence!

You then pick up the bat pony's satchel, and make your way back upstairs to retrieve your own equipment.

You equip Star Hairpin and Moonflower's Magic Satchel, and get 2 Antimagic Toggle Bracelets, 2 Blue Chokers of Aquatic Respiration, 4 Brass Horseshoes, 2 Mirror Shin Guards, and Tempered Simple Breastplate!

Before leaving, you pause to consider what else, if anything, you should bring along with you.
